  • Possible Link Between Autism and Food Allergies

    Nov 19

There’s been a great deal of interest in a recent report conducted by the US Department of Developmental Services that suggests a link between food allergies and Autism in children. Autism is growing at rapid levels in children around the world, with some 1 in every 100 children now being diagnosed with Autism by the age of five. Diet has long been know to have a direct affect on the development of children, so it should not come as a surprise that now scientists are recognizing that the chemicals we are adding to our food supply are causing more harm than good in the developmental processes of our children.

The study, conducted by the California Department of Development between 1987 to 2007, indicate that children who eat a diet composed of fast foods, saturated fats, sugars and artificial food additives, causing food alleriges, have a 25% chance of developing Autism.
